2 John 1:1

2 John 1:9
Anyone who abandons or goes beyond the true teaching about Jesus Christ does not have a genuine relationship with God. The person who remains faithful to Christ’s teaching has fellowship with both the Father and the Son.
2 John 1:10
If someone comes teaching a false message about Christ, believers should not welcome or support that person as a faithful Christian teacher.
2 John 1:11
Anyone who encourages or supports a false teacher becomes a participant in the spread of that person’s evil and deceptive work.
2 John 1:12
John had much more to communicate, but he preferred not to write it in a letter. He hoped to visit them and speak face-to-face so that their joy would be complete.
2 John 1:13
John closes the letter by sending greetings from the children of her elect sister. This may refer to members of another local church sending their greetings.
