The gospel is the most offensive claim to the many who are lost. It just happens to be the TRUTH— the absolute, unchanging, indisputable and exclusive truth of Christianity and the Bible is the source of that Truth.
There is One God who eternally exists in three distinct Persons— the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
God is one spiritual being in three persons and each are fully God. The Father is God. Jesus Christ, the Son, is God. The Holy Spirit is God. Yet there are not three Gods, but one God eternally existing in three distinct Persons, each involved in your salvation:
God the Father – Who purposed salvation by His grace through His divine and perfect plan of redemption established before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4-5).
God the Son – Jesus Christ, who accomplished salvation through His sinless life, substitutional death and victorious resurrection, conquering sin, death, hell, Satan and all the forces of darkness (John 19:30).
God the Holy Spirit – Who applies your salvation through conviction, regeneration, and sanctification (Titus 3:5). The Holy Spirit is fully God just as the Father and the Son are fully God.
There is One True, Sovereign, Living, Creator God— the Father
The only true God, Creator, Sustainer, and sovereign Ruler of all things, and the Father of all who belong to Jesus Christ.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” – Genesis 1:1
“I am the LORD, and there is no other; there is no God besides Me.” — Isaiah 45:5–6
There is One Lord, Savior and Redeemer — the Son, Jesus Christ
He is the Christ, the eternal Son of God, the only Lord, Savior, Redeemer, and King through whom salvation is found.
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” – Acts 4:12
There is One Mediator Between God and Mankind
Jesus Christ alone reconciles sinful people to God.
“For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom [a substitutionary sacrifice to atone] for all, the testimony given at the right and proper time.” (1 Timothy 2:5-6; emphasis added)
There is Only One Way to Be Saved
By God’s grace alone applied by the Holy Spirit, through genuine repentance and saving faith in Jesus Christ.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, so that no one may boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” — Mark 1:15
There is One Holy Spirit
The Spirit of God who convicts of sin, gives new life, indwells, sanctifies, and empowers every believer. He is God’s agent for salvation.
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling.” — Ephesians 4:4
There is One Truth
God’s absolute, unchanging and indisputable truth revealed in Jesus Christ and His Word.
The masses of people traveling on the broad road through the wide gate that leads to destruction (from Matthew 7:13-14) may dispute it, but God Himself by His very nature, declares it so.
He doesn’t merely speak truth— to sanctify you; to set you apart for His purposes, to perfect you and make you holy— His Word is TRUTH. (John 17:17); emphasis added.
“And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:32)
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me.” — John 14:6
There is One Holy Book— The Bible
The Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word.
The Bible is the source of the Gospel Truth and proclaims one great theme from beginning to end — redemption through Jesus Christ. Redemption restores the broken relationship with God caused by sin. It also points to the one true, sovereign and only living Creator God and offers all people one plan of salvation—only by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ.
The Bible accurately foretells numerous specific events—often in remarkable detail—many years and sometimes centuries before they occurred. Hundreds of biblical prophecies have been understood as fulfilled in recorded history, including many concerning the coming, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This remarkable record of fulfilled prophecy provides powerful evidence for the reliability and divine inspiration of Scripture.
Compared with other religious writings, the Bible is uniquely grounded in verifiable history and geography, repeatedly referencing real people, places, nations, rulers, and events confirmed by archaeology and other ancient sources. Its historical and geographical accuracy provides strong evidence for its reliability.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be equipped, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.” — 2 Timothy 3:16–17
There is One Gospel
The good news that sinners are saved by God’s grace through faith in the perfect life, substitutional death and victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The word gospel means “good news” and the good news we are sharing is the Good News of the person and finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ, “for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.
“But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should proclaim to you a gospel contrary to the gospel we have proclaimed to you, let him be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is proclaiming to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be accursed!” — Galatians 1:8–9
There is One Faith
There is one true Christian faith centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the witness for this proper time.” — Ephesians 4:5-6
There is One Baptism
One spiritual union with Christ through the Holy Spirit and publicly identified through water baptism.
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism,” — Ephesians 4:5
There is One Body— The Church
The one universal Church made up of all true believers in Jesus Christ.
“For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body.” — 1 Corinthians 12:13
“There is one body (church) and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling.” — Ephesians 4:4
There is One Living Hope
There is a certain hope of Christ’s return, the resurrection, and eternal life because Jesus is alive.
Jesus is our hope. He is our living hope. He is our only hope.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” — 1 Peter 1:3
There is One Way to Eternal Life
Eternal life is found only in Jesus Christ.
When you physically death, which we all will, you go to heaven only by the grace of the one true, living, Creator God through saving faith in Jesus Christ.
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me.” — John 14:6
“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ who You have sent.” — John 17:3
Jesus—the Christ, the Son of the Living God—is that WAY. He is the ONE way— the ONLY way to the salvation of your soul.
Without Him, you will not see the kingdom of heaven.
Yes and Amen!
“For all the promises of God in Him (Jesus) are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” – 2 Corinthians 1:20
“Yes” means God has fulfilled and confirmed all His promises in Jesus Christ. Every promise God made concerning salvation, redemption, forgiveness, eternal life, and the coming Messiah finds its fulfillment in Christ.
“Amen” means “truly,” “certainly,” “so be it,” or “it is true.” When believers say “Amen,” they are affirming that God’s promises are trustworthy and certain.
God says “Yes” to His promises in Christ, and believers respond with “Amen” in faith.
